An excellent colorist will effortlessly weave in those lighter tones with zero stark contrast.

Ultimately, you want to talk to your colorist or the person who knows your hair best! When I give people color, I make sure to look at the tones that go with the client’s eyes and skin tone. This is what the best colorists do! Warmer tones can work on most people when done with the right amount of precision. Maybe a balayage or some highlights would suit you more than a full color change – it all comes down to what you and your colorist think is best!
