Fall is upon us and that means taking in all of the amazing styling choices that come along with it! Of course we love incorporating fun jackets and leather boots, but at Calista, we’re more concerned with the styling choices you make with your hair. There are so many fun ways to change up your hair for fall! Whether that be a fresh cut and color or a new updo or hair accessory, keeping your look fresh and up-to-date for the season is a fun way to tap into your personal style and make any moment feel a little more BeautyBrave. Let’s talk trends!
Return of the Bob
You’ve likely seen it all over the place, but the Bob haircut is back in a major way. The majority of the Bobs we’re seeing are one-length cuts that hit at the chin, many featuring lots of volume and texture. While Bobs aren’t necessarily a seasonal look, a short cut is the perfect opportunity to cut off your dead ends from summer and give your hair the fresh start it deserves.
Golden Tones
When the temperatures get cooler, the colors get warmer – the same can be true for hair colors! This fall, we’re seeing a lot of celebrities and influencers play with warming up their color. From dimensional balayages with tones of copper and warm browns to golden highlights that help add a little contrast to a standard hair color, giving your hair a dose of warm hues can be the perfect way to refresh and recharge your look for fall.
Retro Touches
Not sure you want to kick off the fall with a serious hair change? There are plenty of fun trends to partake in that don’t permanently alter your hair one bit! This fall, try adding a few retro touches to your look. Something as simple as a silk scarf or a classic bow can really take a style (any length, any texture, any age) to the next level and give you something fun to do with your hairstyle. A pinned-up style reminiscent of the 1950s? A headscarf with a 1960s flair? A fabulous broach barrette? Give it a try! We think it all sounds pretty fabulous!
Face-Framing Layers
This season, we’re loving some face-framing layers to give your hair a more dimensional look. Have long hair that you’re not sure what to do with? Looking to take a simple shoulder-length style to a new, fresh cut? Simple, clean layers that frame the face add the perfect amount of texture while giving you new styling options to play around with. Want to go for the major BeautyBrave moment? Ask your stylist to cut you some curtain bangs!
