Behind the Scenes of a BeautyBrave Giveaway

Hi BeautyBraves! As you may remember, we recently did a giveaway and one lucky winner won a hair consult with our founder and CEO, Maria McCool! Maria and our winner, Anne, discussed how she could change up her look for the coming months, which products would work best for her, and helpful how-tos on some of Anne’s favorite tools.

It started with Maria asking Anne what she was hoping to get out of the call.

After establishing that they had a lot in common when it comes to their personal hairstyles, Maria started breaking down some of her favorite products to use on a regular basis.

“Every day I spray thermal spray on my hair,” Maria said, “it’s light and has so many vitamins and minerals in it. When my hair’s wet, I just spray it allover every morning like a multivitamin!”

Anne showed off her newest Perfecter Pro tool and Maria gave her tips on how to use it effectively for her short, choppy bob haircut. “When you take your section and brush through it, always keep the tool vertical! Instead of winding all the way through, you brush it downward as you twist.” They tried it together and Anne mastered the Perfecter twist!

When it came to styling her cut, Anne asked Maria how she could freshen up her haircut. Maria suggested giving her ends in the back a bit more of a chop and growing out her top layers a little for a more angled, chic look.

After Anne’s call with Maria, she gave our Calista team an inspiring message, truly embodying the meaning of BeautyBrave!
